Community Development Program

Community Development Program

We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. – Winston Churchill

BHH’s Community Development Program revolves around communal activities that would benefit the community in some way. Usually they are something the community needs urgently. Most often community works include building classrooms, repairing schools, decorating classrooms, building toilets, paint jobs for health posts, organizing fundraisers for school libraries and other infrastructure development works. BHH works with qualified engineers for renovation and construction work to help communities with needed infrastructures. When we say infrastructures, we are not only building roads or school buildings, but helping communities churn out their own electricity, introducing them to internet and more. Providing adult education, teaching of innovative agriculture and irrigation techniques, and raising health and sanitation awareness is also one of the tasks listed under community development program of BHH.

While we always welcome monetary and goods donation, it is the lack of skilled manpower and professional guidance that we are usually challenged with. That is why we are always in look for people who can volunteer and give us their time and knowledge to help a community grow.
